     DIGITAL  MARKETING

You've probably noticed that digital marketing is a major topic of discussion in the business world. From Facebook to Twitter, from Snapchat to Slack — these are all tools for reaching customers digitally and managing interactions with them more efficiently than ever before... But how do they work together? How can you put this power into your own hands without investing time or resources unnecessarily? That's where our online course comes in!

The term "digital marketing" refers to the aspect of marketing that makes use of the Internet and other online-based digital technologies, such as desktop computers, mobile phones, and other digital media and platforms, to promote goods and services.[2][3] Its emergence in the 1990s and 2000s had a significant impact on the manner in which companies and brands utilize technology for marketing purposes. Digital marketing campaigns employing combinations of search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), content marketing, influencer marketing, content automation, campaign marketing, data-driven marketing, e-commerce marketing, social media marketing, social media optimization, e-mail direct marketing, display advertising, e-books, and optical disks and games have become commonplace as digital platforms became increasingly incorporated into marketing plans and everyday life. Television, mobile phones (SMS and MMS), callback, and on-hold mobile ring tones are examples of non-Internet channels that provide digital media.[7] The extension to non-Internet channels distinguishes digital marketing from online marketing.[8]

The development of technology is inseparable from the development of digital marketing. One of the most important things happened in 1971 when Ray Tomlinson sent the first email. His technology set the stage for people to be able to send and receive files from different machines.[9] However, the Archie search engine was created in 1990 as an index for FTP sites, making 1990 the most well-known year as the beginning of digital marketing. During the 1980s, the capacity limit of PCs was at that point large to the point of putting away immense volumes of client data. Database marketing, for example, became increasingly popular with businesses as an alternative to limited list brokers[10]. With these kinds of databases, businesses were able to better track customer information, thereby transforming the relationship between buyer and seller. However, the manual procedure did not perform as well.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications became a significant factor in marketing technology in the 1990s[11]. Fierce competition forced vendors to include more service into their software, such as marketing, sales, and service applications. In the 1990s, the term "Digital Marketing" was first coined.[12] After the advent of the Internet, eCRM software also enabled marketers to control vast amounts of online customer data. Companies could obtain customer experience priorities and update customer needs data. Because of this, AT&T's "You Will" campaign became the first clickable banner ad in 1994. Within the first four months of its launch, 44% of all viewers clicked on the ad[13][14].

In addition, a survey conducted in the United Kingdom in 2000 found that the majority of retailers had not registered their own domain address.[16] These issues encouraged marketers to find new ways to integrate digital technology into market development. In the 2000s, with an increase in the number of Internet users and the introduction of the iPhone, customers began searching products and making decisions about their needs online first, rather than consulting a salesperson.[15] As a result, a new challenge was presented to the marketing department of a company.[16
